Wizards vs. Blazers prediction and odds for Tuesday, February 14 (Trust Blazers)

The Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Wizards are both in the second night of a back-to-back when they face off on Tuesday.

Washington, who was down forward Kyle Kuzma last night, lost to the Golden State Warriors in a high-scoring affair. Portland, led by Damian Lillard (40 points), picked up a double-digit win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Blazers and Wizards are both in the play-in tournament picture in their respective conferences, although the Blazers have a better record so far this season.

After trading away Josh Hart at the deadline, the Blazers have a shorter rotation than you’d expect, especially if Jerami Grant (questionable) misses this game.

Kuzma is once again listed as questionable for Washington. Let’s dive into the odds and a pick for this game:

Kuzma’s status actually will play a big role in how I eventually wager on this game, but I lean with the Blazers with him still on the injury report.

Portland has been riding Lillard’s coattails all season, and he’s on a heater right now, averaging 36.9 points per game over his last 19 contests.

The Blazers have been a solid team at home, going 12-9 against the spread as a home favorite after covering on Monday.

The Wizards are 11-11-2 against the spread as road dogs, and they’ve been a streaky team this season, which has had them bouncing around the play-in picture all season.

Washington has lost four of its last six games, and it ranks 23rd in the league in net rating for the season.

As long as Dame is running hot, I think the Blazers are going to roll in this matchup.
