Veteran guard Justin Holiday has agreed to a buyout arrangement with the Houston Rockets and plans to sign with the Dallas Mavericks when he clears waivers, sources told ESPN.
Holiday was traded to the Rockets last week from the Atlanta Hawks, where he played 28 games this season and averaged 4.5 points per game in limited minutes. He averaged 10.1 points last season when he was a starter for the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers.
The Mavericks have been active looking for perimeter depth in the wake of trading for Kyrie Irving last week. Due to the buyout and waiver process, Holiday likely won’t join the Mavericks until after the All-Star break.
