There are just two NBA games on Super Bowl Sunday, but that’s not going to stop me from giving out plays in both of the matchups.
The Boston Celtics are favorites against the Memphis Grizzlies in what should be a terrific game, while the Toronto Raptors fight for a playoff spot continues against the Detroit Pistons.
Sunday’s picks include a spread play, player prop and a same-game parlay. Let’s dive into the action:

The Boston Celtics are without Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown on Sunday, but this is a value line against a Memphis team that has lost six straight games on the road.
The Grizzlies are just 3-7 in their last 10 matchups, ranking 22nd in the NBA in offensive rating over that stretch. They’ve been brutal away from home, going 11-16 straight up overall and just 1-6 ATS as road dogs this season.
Boston wins games by a wide margin as home favorites this season, covering the spread in 16 of 29 games when favored at TD Garden.
I’m willing to lay this short price with a Boston team that ranks inside the top five in the NBA in offense and defense in the 2022-23 campaign.
Santi Aldama OVER 10.5 Points and Rebounds (-120)

This is a bit of a niche prop, but I love Santi Aldama to go OVER 10.5 points and rebounds on Sunday.
The Grizzlies young big man is averaging 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on the season, clearing this line in 11 of his last 17 games.
With Steven Adams out, the Grizzlies have to rely more on Xavier Tillman, Aldama and Brandon Clarke down low. I think Aldama has the highest offensive ceiling of these bigs, and he could clear this prop on points alone.
Rather than rely strictly on points or rebounds, I like the combo prop with this low number of 10.5.
Detroit Pistons-Toronto Raptors Same Game Parlay (+100)
- Killian Hayes OVER 3.5 Assists
- Pascal Siakam OVER 4.5 Rebounds
- Pascal Siakam 20+ Points
- Bojan Bogdanovic 15+ Points
With just two games on the slate, why not have fun with a little same-game parlay?
Here’s my breakdown for each leg:
Killian Hayes: Hayes has been great at passing the ball (5.8 assists per game this season) for the Pistons, and he’s picked up at least four dimes in 14 of his last 16 games, averaging 6.9 assists per game over that stretch.
Pascal Siakam: Both of these Siakam props are pretty simple. The All-Star forward has put up at least 20 points in nine of his last 11 games (the two he missed he finished with 19), averaging 25.2 points per game on the season.
Now, he gets a Detroit defense that ranks 29th in the NBA this season. As for the rebounds, Siakam has at least five rebounds in 18 of his last 21 games, averaging 7.9 per game on the season.
Bojan Bogdanovic: Bogi has been the best scorer for the Pistons this season, averaging 21.5 points per game and clearing 15 points in 18 of his last 19 games.
