Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is expected to return from a groin injury Sunday for the Christmas Day matchup with the Denver Nuggets, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Booker last played one week ago, when he scored 58 points in a comeback win over the New Orleans Pelicans. He landed on the injury report soon after and has missed the past three games with groin soreness.
He missed time earlier this month because of hamstring tightness.
Booker, 26, is enjoying the best season of his career, averaging 28 points while shooting 47.7% from the field and 37% from 3.
Suns-Nuggets (10:30 p.m. ET) will cap a five-game Christmas Day slate, which begins with 76ers–Knicks at noon on ABC and ESPN.
