Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic managed to pull off one of the most ridiculous assists when facing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It’s not an overreaction to say that Luka Doncic is one of the NBA’s top stars. Just last season, he managed to help the Dallas Mavericks make it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. He has the ability to make some clutch shots, and create some unreal plays.
Doncic showed off the latter during a recent game.
Late in the second quarter of Dallas’ matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, Doncic drove to the basket to seemingly attempt a shot. Instead, he pulled off a ridiculous behind the back pass from the paint to Tim Hardaway, who was standing at the corner behind the arc. Hardaway received the pass, and cashed in on a successful three-point shot.
Take a look for yourselves, as Doncic may have defied the laws of physics.
NBA Twitter loses it after unreal, physics-defying pass by Luka Doncic
NBA fans who were watching the game couldn’t help but share their thoughts after watching that incredible pass.
This was a highlight for Doncic and the Mavericks on Wednesday night, as there wasn’t much to celebrate. The Cavaliers cruised to a 105-90 victory, behind a 34-point performance by Donovan Mitchell (13-of-20 from the field, 6-of-9 from the 3-point line).
Doncic did put up 30 points at home against the Cavaliers, but he did so while making 9-of-23 shot attempts and just 2-of-8 three-point attempts. He did dish out six assists and hauled in five rebounds.
The Mavericks are scheduled to take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, Dec. 16 before facing the Cavaliers once again on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Score aside, this pass by Doncic may have been the best of the season so far.
