We aren’t quite sure yet who will be buyers or sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline. But the current buzz is that plenty of talent will be available.
We’re exactly two months from this year’s NBA trade deadline — Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. ET, but things are already taking shape. Here is an informal rankings of the best players who could be available as we get closer to the NBA Trade Deadline.
10. Eric Gordon, Guard, Houston Rockets
Based on this hilarious clip, among other things, it’s clear the Rockets are all in on the Wenbenyama sweepstakes.
In all seriousness, the team is still rebuilding and not hesitant to unload veteran assets, as we saw with Christian Wood this summer.
While they don’t have very many tradable assets, Eric Gordon is a veteran guard with playoff experience that could certainly help a contending team at a relatively low cost. We’ve already heard Gordon’s name floating around trade rumors, with Gordon almost being moved to the Suns in a three-team deal. Averaging just above 12 points per game, Gordon’s veteran presence would fit in with just about any playoff team who is looking to add some depth to their rotation.
