LeBron James made an appearance at the Drew League on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, and put on a display for basketball fans.
James is a legend in his own right, but just in case anyone was doubting his skill level heading into what would be his 20th NBA season, LBJ gave fans a preview of what’s to come.
LeBron scored 42 points, paired with 16 rebounds and four steals against what can only be described as inferior opposition. While his highlights speak for him, social media offered up what can only be described as some hilarious commentary on his behalf.
The Lakers star played on the same team as fellow NBA’er and Compton native DeMar DeRozan.

NBA Twitter was at its best (or its worst, depending on who you ask) after James dropped 40-plus at the Pro-Am tournament.
What is the Drew League?
The Drew League is a pro-am basketball tournament that takes place every summer in Los Angeles, CA. While NBA players have often made surprise appearances, the tournament gained the most traction in the summer of 2011 during the NBA lockout, where players such as LeBron, Kobe Bryant and more took the court at the same time.
