Pacers bringing in Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis for pre-draft workout

Indiana holds the sixth-overall pick in the NBA Draft, so it will be interesting to see what the team does if Davis is on the board. Davis spent the past two seasons with the Wisconsin basketball program. This past year was when Davis was a regular starter. Through 31 games, Davis averaged 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 34.2 minutes.

The Pacers are coming off of a dismal 2021-22 season that saw them finish with a 25-57 record under former Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle. Midway through the season, they did make the big splash move of trading Damontas Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Tyrese Haliburton. T

Indiana has the chance to take the franchise in the right direction if they get the No. 6 pick correct. Whether it will be Davis is anyone’s guess.
