The Golden State Warriors have tied up the NBA Finals at two games apiece after they defeated the Boston Celtics 107-97 in Game 4.
The Golden State Warriors entered Friday night looking to avoid disastrous territory, and that was falling into a 3-1 NBA Finals deficit. Only one team was able to get out of that hole, and that was the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers, who did so at the expense of the Warriors. Luckily for Golden State, they avoided such a scenario.
Golden State defeated the Boston Celtics 107-97 in Game 4 to tie the series up at two games apiece. Warriors star Stephen Curry played a huge role in the win, as he scored 43-points while shooting 14-of-26 from the field.
Twitter users shared their thoughts on what they saw from the Warriors, Celtics and Curry during Game 4.
Twitter reacts to the Celtics and Warriors in Game 4
It was an all-time performance by Curry, who became the first player in NBA history to make five three-point shots in four consecutive NBA Finals games.
Game 4 was closely contested, and Boston had the chance to close out Game 4 with a 91-85 lead with over seven minutes remaining in regulation. Instead, they were only able to score six points in that span. To make Celtics fans feel that much worse, ESPN Stats and Info says that the Celtics were outscored 15-0 during clutch time in Game 4.
The series now returns to California for Game 5 on Monday, June 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Will the Warriors be able to build off of this huge win? Or will the Celtics be able to bounce back to retake the series lead?
