Yes, Aaron Rodgers is one of the Milwaukee Bucks owners

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn’t just attend Milwaukee games as a fan. He’s a minority owner of the Bucks.

If you caught Packers stars Aaron Rodgers and Randal Cobb at Game 2 of the Milwaukee Bucks playoff series against the Bulls, you may or may not know the extent of Rodgers’ connection to the team.

Rodgers has some pretty good reasons to appear at Bucks games. First of all, as the Packers star quarterback, it makes sense for him to attend major Wisconsin sporting events. But it’s not just that.

Rodgers also owns a stake in the team.

Aaron Rodgers is a minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks

In 2018, Rodgers bought a one-percent stake in the Bucks to become one of their minority owners.

He is the only active NFL player with an ownership stake in an NBA team.

While Rodgers hasn’t been able to bring any recent titles to the Packers, his investment in the Bucks has certainly paid off. Since becoming a part owner, the Bucks have gone to the Eastern Conference Finals in two of three seasons, while winning the NBA Finals last year.

This year, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company are looking to defend their title, but they’ll have to get by the Bulls in the first round.

Given Rodgers’ massive new contract with Green Bay, perhaps he can afford to raise his ownership stake. After a protracted dispute, Rodgers signed a three-year contract reportedly worth $150.8 million. He’s now the highest-paid player in the history of the NFL on a year-to-year salary basis.
