Steph Curry is in Cleveland this weekend for the All-Star Game festivities and the Cleveland faithful reminded him that they don’t love him too much.
While the rivalry between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors isn’t what it used to be, that doesn’t mean Stephen Curry is necessarily welcome to the city with open arms. The All-Star Game is of course in Cleveland this year, with the best of the best making their way over.
On Saturday, Curry was featured front and center at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. As soon as his face was showcased on the big screen, the local fans in the stands really let him have it.
Cleveland fans booing Steph Curry is funny to watch
The best part of that video above is that as soon as Curry heard the boos, he and his wife had big smiles on their faces and laughed things off. If anything, they probably had a feeling some boo birds could be on the way.
Regardless of that, Curry is still going to try and put on a show on Sunday in the All-Star Game. Whenever he’s been featured, Curry has lit up the floor with his usual outstanding shooting from the outside. More of the same is expected in 2022 as well.
It’s something Cleveland fans themselves have grown used to seeing. Few people have forgotten about the epic Warriors-Cavaliers battles when LeBron James was still donning a Cleveland jersey. Now, Curry will be ready to remind everyone of just how good he can be with the ball in his hands.
Should Curry knock down some shots from the outside, don’t be surprised if the Cleveland faithful let him have it. Some more boos most definitely could be on the way for him.
