Will Grayson Allen get suspended for slamming Alex Caruso?

Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen could be at risk of suspension after his flagrant foul on Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso.

Allen was called out by the Bulls broadcast team, as well as head coach Billy Donovan, after forcing Caruso to the floor on a hard foul. Caruso went up for what looked like a simple lay-up attempt, but was instead hit with both hands on his way to the rim, hard.

“Maybe he didn’t mean to do it. I don’t know. I just know the play looked really, really bad on a guy that has a history of doing that all the way back into college. I hope the league takes a hard look at something like that. Because God forbid this guy was in a stretcher going out of the building right now. That would not be good,” Donovan said.

Donovan didn’t sound convinced that Allen’s foul was merely an accident, and the severity of it circumstance.

Will Grayson Allen get suspended?

Allen’s history of questionable play won’t factor into a suspension for this event, especially given those incidents occurred at the collegiate level. The players’ association will have Allen’s back if that is the case.

The Duke product is one of the more hated players in basketball, in part due to his convenient tripping in college. At the pro level, it seems his approach to dirty play is less subtle.

“To do that to a player is just really wrong,“ Donovan continued. “You could’ve really jeopardized his career in a lot of ways. I don’t know what his response will be to it.”

The NBA and Adam Silver will weight in on the flagrant two, as they do most plays like this. A suspension or fine could be looming.
