Some massive news has come in for the Golden State Warriors, as it’s looking like Klay Thompson is getting ready to make his return.
For everyone in the Bay Area dreaming of Klay Thompson to bury triples like the good old days, we’ve got some news for you: the time is coming soon. Matter of fact, we could be seeing Thompson on the hardwood come this weekend.
According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors are hopeful that Thompson will be ready to rock on Sunday for when Golden State takes on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Klay Thompson’s return could come on Sunday for the Warriors
This is something countless folks have been waiting for. To say Thompson’s past two years have been heartbreaking wouldn’t even do things justice. First, he suffered his torn ACL in the NBA Finals vs. the Toronto Raptors. Then, he suffered a torn Achilles, forcing him to miss a second campaign.
Thompson has been working around the clock to get himself back to full health and now everyone is ready to see all of his effort pay off. Before going down with his injury, Thompson was without question one of the best shooters out there, helping Golden State win the title three times.
What he and Steph Curry were able to accomplish together was simply out of this world. They’re one of the best shooting duos in the history of the game. Come this weekend, we could see them drilling shots together once again.
This has been a long time coming for Thompson and it’s of course going to be emotional for him when he does suit up. Warriors fans now have even more reason to check out Sunday’s meeting with Cleveland, as the sight of Thompson doing his thing will be special to watch.
