Jeff Green of the Denver Nuggets took a screen from Steven Adams of the Memphis Grizzlies, and instantly regretted it.
The Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies entered Wednesday night with identical 4-3 records, where a win would help them climb up the Western Conference standings. A victory was not going to come easy, just as Jeff Green of the Nuggets.
During the first quarter, Green looked to guard Grizzlies star Ja Morant but ran into a screen by big man Steven Adams. While it did not look like much, it obviously did enough to knock Green onto the court. The veteran could not help but sit and watch from the free throw line as Morant made a crazy layup.
Jeff Green takes a screen from Steven Adams and contemplates life
That screen by Adams had Green questioning everything. Whether it was life, or continuing playing on Wednesday night in Memphis.
Green suited up for the Nuggets for all seven of their games entering Wednesday night, where he averaged 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.9 minutes, while shooting 43.6-percent from the field.
If there is one thing we learned, it is that running into a screen from the Grizzlies big man is far from recommended.
