LeBron James unleashed a monster dunk during the Los Angeles Lakers’ season-opening game against the Golden State Warriors.
The 2021-22 NBA season officially tipped off on Tuesday night. The defending NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the day, and the west coast game featured the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Golden State Warriors.
You can tell basketball is back when Lakers star LeBron James unleashes a monster dunk. He did exactly that in the third quarter, after taking a missed free throw by Juan Toscano-Anderson.
LeBron James’ massive dunk in season-opener
The Warriors did not stand a chance of blocking that one-handed slam dunk by James.
This is the 19th season for James, and it is an important one. After failing to repeat as NBA champions last season, the Lakers went all out to bolster their roster in hopes of running the gauntlet in the tough Western Conference. The goal? To win the franchise’s 18th Larry O’Brien Trophy. If they do, that will also be James’ fifth NBA title of his career.
It is only one game of a long season, but James is already impressing with monster dunks and a stellar individual performance to open up the new year.
