A showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers will highlight the NBA’s Christmas Day schedule, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
In addition to the star-studded, cross-country clash, the Atlanta Hawks will travel to take on the New York Knicks. That game will be a rematch of a first-round playoff series that saw Trae Young become a Madison Square Garden villain, as the Hawks eliminated the Knicks in five games.
The nightcap for the NBA’s showcase schedule will pit Luka Doncic‘s Dallas Mavericks against Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, sources told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
The Nets-Lakers game could be a potential NBA Finals preview as the two teams were installed in July as betting favorites to win the 2021-22 title.
