NBA Twitter reacted to the Milwaukee Bucks defeating the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 to win their first NBA championship since 1971.
The Milwaukee Bucks have not reached the NBA Finals since 1974, where they lost to the Boston Celtics in seven games. They appeared to be down and out after dropping the first two games of the 2021 NBA Finals to the Phoenix Suns. But, the Bucks did not falter — they stepped up to the challenge.
On Tuesday night, the Bucks defeated the Suns by the score of 105-98 in Game 6 to win their first NBA championship since 1971. After an all-time great performance throughout the Finals, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was named NBA Finals MVP.
Of course, with the Bucks claiming the crown of the NBA, players, media and fans reacted to the victory on Twitter.

The Bucks did something that was truly special. They are now the fifth team in NBA Finals history to overcome an 0-2 series deficit to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The last franchise to do so was the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers, who famously defeated the Golden State Warriors after trailing 3-1 in the series.
Antetokounmpo was simply unstoppable throughout the closing game of the Finals. Through 42 minutes of playing time, Antetokounmpo scored 50 points (16-for-25 from field, 17-of-19 from free throw line), grabbed 14 rebounds and recorded five blocked shots.
The Bucks needed that performance from the “Greek Freak,” because the Suns were not going away easily. But, the Bucks sealed the deal thanks to a late two-point shot by Khris Middleton to clinch the franchise’s first NBA championship in 50 years.
This 2021 NBA Finals will go down as one of the best in recent memory, and it is thanks to the play of both the Bucks and the Suns. And it sure was a great six games to take in, whether it was live at the game or on our living room televisions.
