Zach LaVine completes the 12-man Team USA roster for 2021 Olympics

Team USA’s 12-man roster for the 2021 Olympics is set, with Chicago Bulls superstar Zach Lavine ready to head to Tokyo. 

Get ready, basketball fans. The 12-man roster for Team USA is officially set, with some of the best American players ready to fire overseas to Tokyo to try and help the U.S. win their fourth consecutive gold medal at the summer games.

With there being plenty of speculation on who would grab that final spot, the discussion is now over. Chicago Bulls standout Zach LaVine has committed to play for his home country, joining a loaded group of players.

LaVine is joined by Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Kevin Love, Bam Adebayo, Draymond Green, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and Jerami Grant. Goodness, that’s the kind of roster that will surely instill fear around the world.

With so much depth, Team USA is of course considered the favorite to win it all. Everyone can’t wait for the Olympics to arrive, as there’s plenty of hype surrounding the red, white and blue. With LaVine now ready to compete, folks are ready for some high-flying acrobatics to be recorded.

This past season, LaVine averaged 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. Those 27.4 points per outing were a career-high, while he also shot a career-best 50.7 percent from the floor. Now, he’ll be ready to be just as electric with Team USA facing some stiff competition in the near future.

With guys like Durant, Tatum, Booker and others ready to make plays too, that will only make life easier for LaVine. The Olympics truly can’t get here soon enough, as there’s sure to be some amazing contests on the way.
