NBA Twitter was quick to blame Chris Paul for the Phoenix Suns loss in Game 4.
Chris Paul had a tough night at the office on Wednesday. The Milwaukee Bucks managed to tie up the NBA Finals at two games apiece, and many are pointing their fingers at Paul, who struggled at both ends of the floor.
The Phoenix Suns veteran point guard scored just 10 points while shooting 38.5 percent from the field. He failed to get to the line, and worse still, turned the ball over five times. NBA Twitter was not impressed with the Point God, who did not look like himself tonight. Here’s a snippet of the reaction to Paul’s Game 4 performance.
Chris Paul turnovers cost Suns at the worst time
Paul picked an unfortunate night to have one of the worst playoff games of his career. He seemed uncharacteristically out of sync, and the Suns were unable to capitalize on Devin Booker’s 42-point performance as a result.
The Bucks scored 24 points off turnovers compared to just five for the Suns. In a game that was ultimately decided by six points, it’s hard not to see a 17-5 turnover margin as a glaring issue, and Paul was the main culprit.
Phoenix shot 51.3 percent from the field collectively but it wasn’t enough to overcome Milwaukee’s ball control and defence down the stretch.
For once, we actually agree with Skip Bayless.
