What did Colin Cowherd and Skip Bayless have to say about the Phoenix Suns win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals?
It wouldn’t be the NBA Finals without extreme takes from some of sports’ biggest talking heads.
So what did Colin Cowherd and Skip Bayless think about the Suns taking a 2-0 series lead over the Bucks?
Skip’s focus throughout the game was on Giannis Antetokounmpo and his deficiencies.
He goaded the Bucks star when he started to mount a comeback.
Then, he gloated when that comeback fell short despite Antetokounmpo’s 42 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
It’s fairly obvious Bayless has no faith in the Bucks star. He’s expecting a sweep.
Colin Cowherd and Skip Bayless are siding with the Suns over the Bucks
Cowherd agrees that the Suns will take the series, though he didn’t spend the time to go after Giannis.
The questions around Antetokounmpo’s free throw troubles at Phoenix Suns Arena did come up.
Antetokounmpo went 11-of-18 from the stripe as counting from the Suns crowd continued to throw him off.
As much focus ended up on Antetokounmpo, he didn’t get the kind of help he needs from his supporting cast in Game 2. Khris Middleton went 5-of-16 from the field and 1-of-6 from beyond the arc while managing just 11 points. He did lead the team with eight assists, at least.
It was also a rough shooting night for Jrue Holiday, who was 7-of-21 with 17 points and seven assists.
Game 2 was Devin Booker’s time to shine for the Suns. He put up 31 points with seven triples. Miles Bridges was also feeling it, scoring 27 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Chris Paul dropped 23 points while topping his team with eight assists.
The Bucks are in an 0-2 hole, but the series is switching over to Milwaukee. Giannis and company will have their chance to claw back the advantage while Paul and the Suns will do what they can to pull off a sweep.
