Team owner Steve Ballmer lost all sense of personal space during the LA Clippers playoff run.
When you spend $2 billion to purchase an NBA team, we understand you’d have heightened emotions when they go on an extended playoff run. But we gotta say, Steve Ballmer was a little too excited during Game 6, especially given how hi the LA Clippers were losing big.
With his team on the brink of elimination but making a brief second-half run, Ballmer was caught on camera smacking and grabbing the legs of the two gentlemen standing next to him.
Ballmer was childlike in his exuberance, but we’re not sure if the fellas next to him appreciated the encroachment on their personal space. One appears to grab Ballmer’s arm, perhaps because his leg was been squeezed too tightly.
Unfortunately for Ballmer, the excitement of the moment was short-lived, as the Phoenix Suns dominated in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. After an impressive playoff run, the Clippers will have to wait at least another year to reach their first NBA Finals.
In the meantime, we can’t help but wonder if the Clippers’ HR department is about to have a busy Thursday.
