Jay Williams claims he was hacked after terrible Celtics tweet about Ime Udoka

After posting a truly absurd tweet following the Boston Celtics hiring Ime Udoka, Jay Williams has claimed he was hacked on Twitter.

Jay Williams has been the butt of jokes on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, the ESPN host praised the Boston Celtics for the hire of Ime Udoka, claiming he had become the first coach of color for Boston. As we all know, that’s simply not the case. Did Williams forget about Bill Russell, K.C. Jones, M.L. Carr and Doc Rivers?

Shortly after that first tweet went up on Wednesday, Williams deleted it. Now, he has claimed that his account was hacked and that he never posted that original comment. Okay then, Mr. Williams.

Jay Williams says he was hacked on Twitter after posting an embarrassing Celtics tweet

If you take a quick look at the replies from Williams’ latest post, no one believes him. He’s getting called out left and right for trying to save face. If he indeed was hacked, why did it take him so long to come out and say something? With the amount of time he waited, it sure seems a bit fishy.

We’re not here to accuse Williams of lying about what happened. Everyone in his replies is taking care of that for us.

Williams may have been better off just admitting he made a mistake, if he indeed posted that first one. Again, no one is here to call him a liar. The evidence against him, though, sure is damning. As for Boston, they’ve indeed hired the former Brooklyn assistant to take over as the team’s head coach. After having plenty of success with Brooklyn this past season, Udoka will now look to try and help the Celtics get to the next level.
