Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Playoffs, Phoenix Suns

Anthony Davis punts Jae Crowder in the groin Draymond Green-style (Video)

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis kicked Jae Crowder of the Phoenix Suns in the groin and was somehow rewarded with free throws.

The play was reviewed, in which Davis was called for a flagrant, thus evening the score slightly. That, of course, is ridiculous given Davis extended his foot to make contact with Crowder’s delicate area.

Any basketball fan can relate to Crowder’s pain, and even be amazed by his ability to stay in the game to shoot said free throws. Some of us (me) would be crippled on the floor for the rest of the night.

NBA Playoffs: Lakers facing tough test with Suns in Game 2

Davis himself should be all sorts of locked in given the questions asked of him by the media after a tough Game 1. The big looked anything but, taking a mostly jump-shots and failing to connect for the most part.

The foul was Crowder’s second, forcing Monty Williams to take LeBron’s primary defender. Shortly thereafter, Davis picked up another ticky-tack foul as well.

NBA fans had some fun at Davis’ expense after the play.

For what it’s worth, Crowder appears to have recovered, thankfully. We might need a few minutes, though.
