There were some early fireworks which led to ejections in the showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
Fans watching the Tuesday night showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors sure got more than what they were hoping for, as a melee led to multiple ejections. It all starter on a hard foul by Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder on Toronto’s OG Anunoby.
As you’ll be able to see in the highlight below, Schroder hacked Anunoby on a fast break, preventing him from scoring an easy two. However, the two got tangled up and nothing but drama ensued.

Things really escalated after Anunoby unbelievably picked up Schroder, sending the guard to the hardwood. As you might be able to imagine, Lakers players, and Schroder for that matter, were furious when that happened. This resulted in players flying to the scene of the incident and several shoves being exchanged.
Once everything was eventually cleared up, Anunoby and Lakers big man Montrezl Harrell were sent to the locker rooms for an early shower. Things have gone from bad to worse here for Toronto, as Los Angeles jumped out to a lead in the 30s in the first half.
On the year, Los Angeles, hoping to repeat as NBA Finals champs, entered the night with a 31-19 record. Meanwhile for the Raptors, it’s been a season to forget with them checking in at 20-30 on the campaign.
We’ll see if this ball game will be able to end without any additional ejections. The early scuffle sure set the tone for the rest of the contest, with the Lakers being the ones in landing the proverbial punches on the court in a dominating performance.
