Jazz: Donovan Mitchell claps back at LeBron James’ disrespectful comments

Donovan Mitchell did not take kindly to LeBron James’ remarks during the 2021 NBA All-Star Game Draft.

Donovan Mitchell’s Utah Jazz may have the best record in the NBA, but that means absolutely nothing to the best player in the sport, LeBron James.

Mitchell and his Utah teammate Rudy Gobert were the last two players picked in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game Draft. The two captains of the teams were James and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant. The Los Angeles Lakers forward took the disrespect even further saying nobody played with the Jazz on video games when their two star players were Karl Malone and John Stockton.

Here is what Mitchell had to say about all that.

Home-court advantage gives Donovan Mitchell the last laugh over LeBron James

In an All-Star Game Draft, it makes sense for a player like Gobert to be one of the last players taken. He is a defensive wizard, but not much of an offensive viability. Plus, he cannot shoot 3’s. As for Mitchell, now this is just Shaquille O’Neal on Inside the NBA-level disrespect. Mitchell may not care what anyone thinks about him or his team, so long as the Jazz get home-court advantage.

Again, this is the only thing that matters. If the Western Conference runs through Salt Lake City, then the Jazz have an outside shot of getting to the NBA Finals for the first time since Malone and Stockton retired. Not only would James’ Lakers be playing at altitude, but we can expect there to be more rabid Jazz fans in attendance of those games as more and more people get vaccinated.

Look for Mitchell, Gobert and Mike Conley Jr. to play so very hard in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. It’s about proving a point.
