Bradley Beal just passed Michael Jordan on this incredible scoring list

Bradley Beal is off to a hot start this season and just passed Michael Jordan on an all-time scoring list.

Bradley Beal is playing at an elite level for the Washington Wizards so far this season. While the team is a brutal 5-13, Beal has led them to two big wins in the past week over the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat, respectively.

The star guard dropped 32 points Wednesday night in a win over the Heat and made some history in the process to make the night even sweeter. This history-making game saw him surpass Michael Jordan on one of the most impressive scoring lists in NBA history.

Beal passes Jordan

Beal has now scored at least 25 points in all 17 of his games this season. He missed a game in early January due to COVID-19 protocols, marking his only absence of the year.

Jordan was the last player to get off to such a hot start and had 16 straight games of 25 points or more to kick off the 1988-89 season. The fact Jordan never reached this mark during the 1990s shows just how impressive and consistent Beal has been.

NBA.com shared the rest of the list, and Beal owns the fifth-best mark of all time. Elgin Baylor had at least 25 points in 22 straight games back during the 1961-62 season. Ahead of him is Rick Barry’s mark of 25 straight in 1966-67.

Wilt Chamberlain owns the top two spots on this list. His second-best mark was a 26-game streak in 1962-63. That was nothing to him after he went 80 straight games with 25 points or more to begin the 1961-62 season. 80 games in a row! That is why he is one of the true GOATs in the NBA.

Passing Jordan on any list is an accomplishment and speaks to just how dominant Beal has been this season. He seems to want to stay in Washington, and they would be smart to do whatever it takes to keep him given his current play. Losing Beal would tank the Wizards to the bottom of the standings for years to come.
