Giannis Antetokounmpo gave Conor McGregor some unusual tips ahead of his UFC 257 fight.
Fight fans around the world are buzzing with the return of Connor McGregor to the UFC Octagon, where he will face off against long time rival Dustin Porier. Milwaukee Bucks star and current reigning NBA defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo is no exception.
So much so in fact that the 26-year-old four-time All-Star recorded a video which was shared by the Milwaukee Bucks Twitter offering his advice to the former UFC lightweight champion.
In the video, Antetokounmpo is seen in the Bucks practice gym addressing the camera and McGregor.
“You know there is a fight today right? A Conor McGregor- an MMA fight? Watch this.”
He then approaches a member of the coaching staff and attempts to put him in a very loose full nelson before turning to the camera again and clumsily moving his free arm across the back of his coach before breaking the hold and laughing as he jogs off.
The Bucks staff are avid fight fans of both MMA and WWE, with viral clips and gifs being distributed all last season as different members of the team would grapple with one another in the locker room before and after games.
Antetokounmpo signed a 5-year supermax contract in the offseason with the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly worth 228.2 million dollars.
