Tacko Fall had an amazing denial of Russell Westbrook at the rim.
The Boston Celtics are taking on the Washington Wizards Friday night without some key players. That is because Robert Williams tested positive for COVID. Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams were deemed close contacts and must sit out as well.
The absences in the frontcourt meant fan favorite and lovable big man Tacko Fall would be getting some action against Russell Westbrook’s Wizards. The two met up at the rim and Fall provided a highlight-reel block to make Westbrook think twice about driving in his lane.
Tacko tells Russ to get out
Fall is a unique player given his 7-foot-5 stature. This block showed he is more than just a rebounding machine. He also has the reaction time and discipline to block a player as dynamic as Westbrook. Doing so without fouling is a testament to Tacko’s talent on the floor.
Fall is getting a chance to prove he deserves more playing time Friday night and beyond. Such a big defensive play will only build his case.
