Only the New York Knicks would manage to put two different numbers on Reggie Bullock’s jersey.
The New York Knicks have been the brunt of jokes in recent years. From their failed tank job for Zion Williamson to losing free agents Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to the crosstown Brooklyn Nets to Disney and Pixar’s newest movie “Soul” making fun of their shortcomings. But if you saw what happened during Saturday’s games, you understand why they’re constantly ridiculed.
For their game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Knicks wore their newest City Edition uniforms, which looked very sleek. However, swingman Reggie Bullock’s dealt with somewhat of a wardrobe malfunction. Bullock had his No. 25 on the front of his jersey, but had No. 23 on the back, which is center Mitchell Robinson’s number. To make matters even more confusing, both Bullock and Robinson were on the court at the exact same time.
Why are the Knicks the way that they are?
When looking at the images above, you can see Bullock standing just behind the three-point line, while Robinson is standing just outside of the paint. Seriously, Knicks?
The Knicks got off to a rough start to the season, as they fell 121-107 to the Indiana Pacers in their regular-season opener on Wednesday. In that contest, Bullock scored 11 points while shooting 4-for-10 from the field in turnover free basketball. However, the real star of the game was RJ Barrett, who scored 26 points on 15 shots, while recording eight rebounds and five assists.
New York will look to get their first win of the season at the expense of the 76ers. Even if they do, no one will forget this uniform blunder.
