Kevin Durant is out of work … again

Kevin Durant is out of work … again.

Kevin Durant is facing what a lot of us coronavirus-era people are facing right now … unemployment. The New York Nets player is sitting out the 2020 season due to a ruptured Achilles and now he’s lost his back-up gig as a star on the ESPN show, The Boardroom.

“The Boardroom is not being renewed following two seasons on ESPN+,” ESPN said in a statement to The New York Post. “Thirty Five Ventures are great partners and we look forward to continuing to discuss any future projects.”

The show was billed as a way to “bring fans behind the scenes of the modern boardroom, showcasing the evolution of sports business through the minds of athletes, sports executives and tech moguls alike.”

Kevin Durant’s show The Boardroom canceled after two seasons

Overall, it wasn’t much of a success, though the actual show numbers haven’t been revealed.

The show featured Durant, Jay Williams and Durant’s agent Rich Kleiman. The show lasted just two seasons. Durant and Kleiman co-own the production company Thirty Five Ventures which launched to be much like Lebron James’ Uninterrupted production company.
