Detroit Pistons forward Christian Wood has tested positive for the coronavirus, a league source told ESPN’S Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wood, 24, is the third known player in the NBA to have a positive test for the virus, along with Utah Jazz players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
Wood scored a career-high 30 points for Detroit last Saturday against the Jazz. In that game, he was involved in a dust-up with Gobert in the fourth quarter that resulted in double technical fouls.
Wood is averaging 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds this season. On Wednesday, he had 32 points and seven rebounds vs. the 76ers in the final game before the league suspended the season.
