Best NBA prop bets today for Heat vs. Celtics Game 5 (Value on Jimmy Butler)

The Boston Celtics extended the Eastern Conference Finals with a win on Tuesday night, but can they get the series back to Miami for a Game 6?

It’s going to be a tough task, but Boston is favored by eight points on Thursday night. If you aren’t comfortable with taking a side in this game, don’t worry.

I have three player props that I love for this game, including a value play for star Jimmy Butler:

Heat vs. Celtics best NBA prop bets

  • Jaylen Brown UNDER 22.5 Points
  • Caleb Martin OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made
  • Jimmy Butler OVER 7.5 Rebounds

Jaylen Brown UNDER 22.5 Points

Jaylen Brown has yet to find his shot in this series, falling short of this number for the fourth time in as many games.

Since the end of the first round, Brown has not scored the ball at a high clip, averaging 20.6 points per game and shooting just 30.6 percent from beyond the arc.

The Celtics star has shot just 39.0 percent from the field against Miami, so I’ll gladly fade him until he shows he can clear this number against the Heat defense.

Caleb Martin OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made

Caleb Martin continues to shoot the ball at a high clip from beyond the arc, hitting multiple 3-point shots in every game in this series, shooting 12-for-26 from beyond the arc.

Going back to the New York Knicks series, Martin has made at least two shots from deep in six of his last seven games, and he’s taking them at volume as well.

The Heat forward hasn’t attempted fewer than three shots in a game from beyond the arc over his last 10 playoff matchups. I love him at this prop, even if the over requires us laying a little juice.

Jimmy Butler OVER 7.5 Rebounds

This is a surprising line for Butler given how important he has been on the glass in this series.

The Heat star has racked up five, eight, eight and nine rebounds through four games against Boston, yet he’s at plus money to clear 7.5 boards for the fourth straight game.

If the Heat are trailing or in a close game, Butler is going to push 40+ minutes, so he should get plenty of chances to grab rebounds on both ends. This may be my favorite value on the board in Game 5.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
