Best NBA prop bets today for Celtics vs. Heat Game 3 (Caleb Martin becoming must bet)

The Eastern Conference Finals have been nothing short of shocking through two games, with the Miami Heat stealing both games in Boston to head home with a 2-0 lead.

Now, Boston’s back is against the wall in Game 3 on Sunday.

I’m eyeing a pair of prop bets in this game, including one for Celtics star Jaylen Brown. Here’s how to bet Game 3:

Celtics vs. Heat best NBA prop bets

  • Caleb Martin OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made
  • Jaylen Brown UNDER 23.5 Points

Caleb Martin OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made

Caleb Martin has been terrific in this series, scoring 15 and 25 points in the first two games off the bench.

While I don’t mind a play on Martin’s points (11.5), I think there is more value in his 3-point prop, because he has cleared it in games where he hasn’t scored 12 or more points.

Martin has multiple made 3-pointers in four of his last five and five of his last seven playoff games, shooting 14 shots from beyond the arc in two games against Boston.

If the Celtics continue to leave Martin, he’s going to make them pay, and I don’t see the strategy for Joe Mazzulla’s club changing much with other shooters on the floor.

Jaylen Brown UNDER 23.5 Points

I’m fading Jaylen Brown here, as he’s really taken a step back efficiency and scoring wise since the start of the second round.

After dominating a poor defensive team in Atlanta, Brown is averaging just 22.0 points per game over his last nine playoff contests against Philly and Miami.

The Celtics star is shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from 3 over that stretch, but against Miami he’s shooting just 38.6 percent from the field and 15.4 percent from 3.

He’s due to make a few more shots, but the Heat have clearly disrupted his offensive rhythm.

Brown has 24 or more points in just three games since the first round, and he hasn’t scored more than 25 in any of those games.

The UNDER is the play in Game 3.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
