3 reasons why Lakers won Game 3 over Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to win Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Golden State Warriors 127-97 on Saturday. Here are three reasons why the Lakers were victorious.

The Los Angeles Lakers have broken their series tie against the Golden State Warriors, cruising to a 127-97 win.

Los Angeles was able to get the blowout win after having a run in the second quarter of the game. This series has been very weird with the last two games having very weird shooting nights for one team during a particular quarter.

In the second non-competitive game of the night, the Lakers were able to beat the Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals. The Warriors were controlling this game for a part of the first half but a 20-2 run by the Lakers allowed them to take control and never look back.

3 reasons why the Lakers won Game 3: 3. Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis seems to be on a trend of having a good game and then followed up by a bad game right after. After having a bad game in Game 2,he was a defensive beast in this one. He ended up with 4 blocks and 13 rebounds. Davis seemed to be really controlling the paint in this game. Additionally, he was a beast on the offensive end in the paint on the way to a Lakers victory.

Davis ended up with 25 points on a very efficient 70 percent shooting from the floor. He was a +28 from the floor.

3 reasons why the Lakers won Game 3: 2. LeBron James

LeBron James really struggled in the first quarter and didn’t score any points. “The King” was very passive and refused to drive to the basket in the first quarter. James seemed to be coasting in the first, but was able to pick it up in the remaining parts of this game, as he became very aggressive towards the baskets in the middle of the second quarter. From then on, LeBron did LeBron stuff.

James ended up with 21 points on 54 percent shooting from the floor, in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds.

3 reasons why the Lakers won Game 3: 1. D’Angelo Russell

D’Angelo Russell had a very good game in this one. He was very crucial in the early going of this game where the Lakers lacked a bit of offense. Russell made three straight three pointers to start the game. After that, he slowed down a bit but still had a really nice night from the floor. LeBron didn’t really do anything in the first quarter and Russell made up for him. The Lakers were down by seven after the first, but could have been down a lot more if Russell didn’t make shots.

Russell recorded 21 points on 61 percent shooting from the floor, in addition to making five three-pointers. Additionally, Russell recorded five assists as well.

This series is really weird. Game 1 was amazing, but since then it’s been two games where one team didn’t show up at all on the offensive end for an entire quarter. The Lakers have been getting a lot of free throws calls in this series but with the offense being geared it makes sense.

The first game was fun to watch and these last two have been total duds. Both teams struggled from poor shooting in their respective losses. Like they shot really really bad. Again, this series is really weird.
