This is a favorable matchup for Embiid, an MVP candidate, since Jarrett Allen is out of the lineup with an eye injury.
Allen would’ve drawn the assignment on Embiid, but instead he will work against the slimmer Evan Mobley, the slow-footed Robin Lopez and others in the Cavs frontcourt.
Embiid is averaging 33.4 points per game this season and has scored 33+ in five of his last sixx games. Go OVER for him tonight.
Evan Mobley UNDER 9.5 Rebounds
Even with Allen out, I think Evan Mobley is overvalued in this prop on Wednesday night.
The Cavs youngster has failed to pick up double-digit boards in four straight games, and now he has to deal with Embiid down low.
That could lead to Mobley getting in foul trouble, but Embiid also loves to step outside, which may take Mobley away from easy opportunities on the glass.
He could still have a good game, but double-digit boards isn’t in the cards tonight.
