Lakers vs. Celtics player prop bets for Saturday, January 28 (Lebron vs. Boston)

It’s been a tough stretch for the Boston Celtics, they’ve lost their last three and now Lebron is heading into town. The Lakers are still under .500, but Lebron and Anthony Davis are getting healthy and slowly, but surely the Lakers are looking better.

Can LA, steal one from Jayson Tatum and the Celtics in Boston? They’ll need big games from their stars to do it, but I’m sure Tatum and Jaylen Brown won’t go down without a fight.

Let’s bet a couple of props for this one, here are my three favorites.

Lakers vs. Celtics Best NBA Prop Bets

  • Anthony Davis over 20.5 points (-105)
  • Lebron James over 6.5 assists (-138)
  • Jayson Tatum over 5.5 assists (+114)

Anthony Davis over 20.5 points (-105)

On Thursday night, Julius Randle scorched the Celtics for 36 points and now it’ll be Anthony Davis’s turn to beat up Boston inside. AD had 21 points off the bench in the Lakers win over San Antonio this week, and I think he’ll be even more impactful against high-level competition. Davis is coming back from injury, but is averaging 27.2 points a night, so there’s value here.

Lebron James over 6.5 assists (-138)

Lebron has become a scorer in his later years, mostly out of necessity, but tonight I think he might revert back to the pass-first mentality that made him so great for so many years. Lebron had 11 assists last game and with the return of AD and the trade for Rui Hachimura, the Lakers are slowly surrounding Lebron with more talent.

Jayson Tatum over 5.5 assists (+114)

Boston’s offense has cratered since Marcus Smart got injured and they’re 0-3 without him. Tatum is a real MVP candidate, but if he wants to be considered as one of the very best guys in the NBA, he needs to fit whatever role the Celtics need. Right now, they need playmaking, and I think he’ll provide it.
