NBA best bets today (Predictions for Zach LaVine, Julius Randle and Kawhi Leonard)

It’s officially a prop night in my NBA best bets column, as I was going to play the Boston Celtics as underdogs, but Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart are both out.

We nailed two props on Monday night, so why not stick with what’s working?

I have a bunch of rebound props on the slate tonight, including a play for Kawhi Leonard in the battle of Los Angeles in primetime.

Let’s get to it:

NBA best bets record to date

NBA best bets today

  • Julius Randle 13+ Rebounds (+115)
  • Zach LaVine OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-130)
  • Kawhi Leonard UNDER 12.5 Rebounds and Assists (-135)

Julius Randle 13+ Rebounds (+115)

Julius Randle is going crazy on the glass over the month plus.

Randle is averaging 13.6 rebounds per game since Dec. 14, and he’s posted 15 or more boards in seven of his last eight games.

With Mitchell Robinson out of the lineup with a thumb injury, the Knicks need Randle to control the glass to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. Randle’s regular prop is at 11.5, but I think 13+ at (+115) is the play.

If you’re really bold, go 15+ at +280 for Randle as well (for transparency’s sake I am not).

Zach LaVine OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-130)

Zach LaVine has been sneaky on the glass lately, grabbing five or more rebounds in nine of his last 10 games heading into Tuesday’s matchup with Indiana.

The Indiana Pacers rank just 24th in the NBA in rebounding percentage this season, and LaVine is averaging 4.6 boards per game.

With Tyrese Haliburton out, the Pacers have really struggled losing seven straight and posting the worst offensive rating in the NBA over that stretch. That means there will be plenty of misses for LaVine to pull down on Tuesday night.

Kawhi Leonard UNDER 12.5 Rebounds and Assists (-135)

Want a crazy stat with this prop?

Kawhi Leonard has cleared 12.5 rebounds and assists in just four of his 24 games this season, averaging 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Leonard’s opponent tonight, do play at the second fastest pace in the NBA, but with Paul George healthy, I don’t think Leonard will be called upon as a playmaker as much tonight. Kawhi is averaging just 9.8 rebounds and assists per game in 18 games with George in the lineup this season.

We have to lay the -135 juice, but it’s worth it when Kawhi has failed to clear this number in nine of his last 10 games.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
