Best NBA prop bets today for Heat vs. Mavericks (Value on Max Strus)

The Miami Heat are one of the hotter teams in the NBA at the moment, and they’re looking to keep that going on the road against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.

Dallas is down a key player in forward Christian Wood (fractured thumb), who is the team’s second leading scorer this season. Someone is going to have to step up to help Luka Doncic in this game, and that’s where prop betting comes in!

We can pick who we think takes advantage of the extra shots in Dallas’ offense as well as who thrives for Miami in this primetime game.

Here are my picks:

Heat vs. Mavericks best NBA prop bets

  • Tim Hardaway Jr. OVER 15.5 Points
  • Max Strus OVER 10.5 Points
  • Bam Adebayo OVER 31.5 Points and Rebounds

Tim Hardaway Jr. OVER 15.5 Points

Tim Hardaway Jr. has been hot over the last 13 games, averaging 16.2 points per game for the Mavericks and taking 13.7 shots per game.

With Wood out of the lineup, Hardaway and Spencer Dinwiddie should see an uptick in usage for Dallas in this game.

THJR has cleared 15.5 points in eight of his last 13 games. He’s shooting well from deep (36.6 percent) over this stretch, which is key against a Miami team that ranks 27th in the NBA in 3-pointers allowed per game.

Max Strus OVER 10.5 Points

Max Strus is averaging 13.2 points per game this season, and he’s played much better as of late, scoring at least 10 points in seven straight games and 10 of his last 11.

Strus has cleared 10.5 points in eight of those 11 matchups, taking 11.4 shots and 7.6 3-pointers per game. He’s also averaging 14.1 points per game in that stretch.

The Mavericks rank dead last in the NBA in defensive rating over their last 10 games, so Strus could be in for a big game in this matchup.

Bam Adebayo OVER 31.5 Points and Rebounds

Heat big man Bam Adebayo has been absolutely cooking for the team as of late, clearing 31.5 points and rebounds in eight of his last 10 games.

This matchup is a dream for Adebayo, as Dallas ranks dead last in the NBA in rebounding percentage this season and is without Wood, arguably its best interior defender.

Over his last 11 games, Adebayo is averaging 23.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game, which is way over this prop number for him tonight.

This is my favorite prop in this game.
