Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers

Is Damian Lillard’s Instagram post a not-so-subtle hint at Kyrie Irving trade rumors?

The NBA world is waiting to see what will happen with the Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie Irving. The two sides are reportedly at an impasse on a new contract, and Irving has a list of teams he would like the Nets to consider in potential sign-and-trade deals. Then, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that Kevin Durant is monitoring the Nets’ situation and is considering options with his future.

That has many wondering what is next for the Nets and Durant.

Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic shared Lillard’s photo and posted it to his Twitter account with the caption being an emoji of a puzzle piece.

Does this actually mean anything? Who knows. But it sure is going to get Nets and Trail Blazers fans riled up.

The Trail Blazers are coming off of a down season, due in part to Lillard undergoing abdominal surgery and missing the majority of the campaign Through 29 games played, Lillard averaged 24.0 points, 7.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds while posting a field goal percentage of 40.2 and a three-point percentage of 32.4.

So far this offseason, the Trail Blazers acquired Jerami Grant in a trade with the Detroit Pistons. At the NBA Draft, Portland selected Kentucky’s Shaedon Sharpe in the first-round and Colorado’s Jabari Walker in the second-round.

NBA fans are going to be paying close attention to see if Irving stays in Brooklyn or departs to a new team. Then, all eyes are going to be on what happens with Durant.
