Nia Long celebrating the Celtics win is so wholesome (Video)

No one was happier to see the Boston Celtics reach the NBA Finals than actress Nia Long, who is the fiancee of head coach Ime Udoka.

It was a long journey for the Boston Celtics since they lost Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers. They have not been able to reach the series to compete for the Larry O’Brien Trophy. But that all changed on Sunday, as the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 100-96 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to advance to the NBA Finals.

While there were no doubt plenty of Celtics fans who were celebrating on Sunday night, there was perhaps no one happier that the team advanced than actress Nia Long, based off her latest video posted on Twitter.

For those who do not know, Long is engaged to Boston head coach Ime Udoka.

Long has been engaged to Udoka since 2015, and the couple have a son, Kez Sunday, born in 2011.

Udoka had spent nearly 10 years as an an assistant coach in the NBA, most of which spent on Gregg Popovich’s coaching staff with the San Antonio Spurs. But after spending last season as an assistant on the Brooklyn Nets, Udoka was hired as the head coach of the Celtics, and what a season it has been.

After a slow start to the campaign, Boston bounced back in the second half to finish with a 51-31 record. In the playoffs, Boston swept the Nets in the first-round, eliminated the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks in seven games, and sent home the top-seeded Heat in the Conference Finals.

Now, the Celtics face off against the Golden State Warriors, who have made it to the NBA Finals six times in the past eight seasons. If Udoka and the Celtics were to win, they would bring home their 18th NBA Championship.
