NBA trade season is on the horizon. Could a league-altering transaction occur this offseason involving OG Anunoby and the Raptors?

Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report said in his latest NBA offseason intel piece that OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors grew “… dissatisfied at times… ” with his role in the Raptors rotation and could be a potential target for trade chatter in the weeks and months ahead. Fischer made it clear that much of this could be externally driven, as Anunoby is “… considered to be a darling of Raptors lead executive Masai Ujiri…”.

But there will be suitors for the services of a 6-foot-7, 230-pound versatile wing who can both defend and extend the floor with his abilities as a scorer. Anunoby is a career 37 percent 3-point shooter that has played positions 2-4 over the last two years, and that has grabbed the attention of teams like the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers according to Fischer.

What would these squads need to part with in order to acquire Anunoby, who is signed to a team-friendly roughly $36 million the next two seasons before a nearly $20 million player option comes due in the last year of the contract? Fischer says that ” …Anunoby’s trade value is seen as greater than Detroit’s (Pistons) known asking price for (Jerami) Grant: two first-round picks or a first and a promising rookie-scale prospect.”

With that as the baseline, let’s get Anunoby to the Jazz and Trail Blazers, as well as one surprise squad that would surely love to welcome OG to their roster.
