Devin Booker injury: Will Suns star play in Game 6 vs. Pelicans?

As the Phoenix Suns head to New Orleans for Game 6 against the New Orleans Pelicans, Suns fans are hoping that Devin Booker will be able to play.

The Phoenix Suns may have a 3-2 advantage over the New Orleans Pelicans, but as the series gets closer to winding down, Suns fans would probably like to have their star player healthy and able to get back out on the court.

Booker has missed a few playoff games as he’s been dealing with a hamstring strain. This is an awful time for anyone to have to deal with an injury, but it appears as if Booker might be able to get back out on the court sooner rather than later.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Booker is “progressing toward a return soon,” and that includes possibly in this first round series vs. the Pelicans.

Devin Booker injury update: Will Phoenix Suns have Devin Booker for Game 6 vs. New Orleans Pelicans?

It would definitely be a huge benefit for the Suns to be able to have Booker available, assuming he’s fully healthy. It’s not totally clear how healthy he is at the moment, though it seems unlikely that he’d return in a manner that would risk his health.

While CP3 is great and should be more than capable of helping guide the Suns past the Pelicans, getting Booker back on the court should make things much easier for Phoenix.

Suns fans have to be hoping that this is the case for Booker and Phoenix heading into Game 6 against the Pelicans.

Of course, it would also probably be nice for Booker to get a little more rest ahead of the conference quarterfinals and for the Suns to be able to end this series without him.
