LeBron vows to never miss NBA Playoffs again in impassioned tweet

On Apr. 22, 2022, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James declared that he will never miss the NBA Playoffs ever again.

At the start of the 2021-22 season, the Los Angeles Lakers expected to be contending for their second NBA championship in three years. Instead, they finished 11th in the Western Conference and failed to make even the play-in tournament.

While watching the postseason games on Apr. 22, 2022, LeBron James took to Twitter, declaring that he will never miss the playoffs in his career again.

LeBron James declares that he will never miss NBA playoffs again

James has been in the NBA for 19 seasons, and he has missed the playoffs just four times. In his four years with the Lakers, this is now the second time he’s not qualified for a playoff berth, with the first time being in the 2018-19 season.

The Lakers were looking to repeat as NBA champions last year, but they were eliminated in the first round by the Phoenix Suns. Looking to improve their odds, the Lakers brought in the likes of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard. That did not help the team’s chances of making the playoffs, let alone contend for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

James is set to enter the final year of his contract with the Lakers. Not only that, but the team is in search of a new head coach after they fired Frank Vogel.

With James’ declaration, you best believe that many are going to be saving this as a receipt just in case the Lakers miss the playoffs next season.
