LeBron James is in the midst of his 19th NBA season, his fourth with the Los Angeles Lakers. James is still playing at a high level at the age of 37, but there are still only so many years remaining in his NBA career. But how would he end his career?

In an interview with The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd, James said he plans to play on the same team as his oldest son, Bronny, in his final NBA season and that he would do whatever it takes to make that possible.

LeBron James says he will play on same team as son, Bronny, in final NBA season

This is not necessarily news, as James has said in the past that he would like to play on the same team as Bronny at some point in his career. But this latest update from James says that will be how he ends his NBA career.

As for where a James team-up will happen, we are years away from Bronny entering the NBA, as he is still a junior at Sierra Canyon High School. LeBron just signed a two-year, $85.7 million contract extension with the Lakers, which expires at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season. He will then be an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2023.

Entering the All-Star break, LeBron is averaging 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 52.2-percent from the field and 35.3-percent from the three-point line.

James let the record be known that for his final NBA season, he will be teaming up with Bronny.
