NBA trade rumors: Kings have discussed including De’Aaron Fox in Domantas Sabonis deal

Could the Sacramento Kings end up parting ways with De’Aaron Fox to try and land star big man Domantas Sabonis?

There’s plenty of intrigue leading up to the 2022 NBA trade deadline. With the big day coming on Feb. 10, multiple teams are already working overtime trying to put together the right packages to land star players. Could we see a blockbuster on the way between Sacramento and Indiana?

According to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, his sources are telling him that the Kings not only have high interest in trying to trade for Domantas Sabonis, but the team could also be open to sending De’Aaron Fox in a deal to make things happen.

De’Aaron Fox trade for Damantas Sabonis could go down before the NBA trade deadline

Obviously, this would really be something. Sacramento is currently 18-28 on the year and fans are losing hope of the squad being able to make the playoffs. The Kings have recorded 15 consecutive losing seasons. The front office needs to make something happen.

That’s why a trade for Sabonis is starting to pick up plenty of steam. With that said, trading Fox would be tough as well. Last year, the former No. 5 overall pick averaged 25.2 points and 7.2 assists per game. Thus far this season, he’s scoring more than 20 points a night. Fans love him for his high-flying ways as well.

With that said, Sabonis is one of the best bigs in the game. The 6-foot-11, 240-pounder is averaging just under 19 points and 12 rebounds a contest. With Indiana at 15-29, Sabonis’ name has been linked to several teams.

Leading up to Feb. 10, more and more rumors are going to start popping up. A trade involving Fox and Sabonis would most definitely cause NBA fans across the country to lose their minds.
