Watch Rockets’ Christian Wood take out fan with awful errant pass

Rockets big man Christian Wood isn’t known for his passing and that was never more evident than against the Hornets, as one unfortunate fan can attest to.

Rebounding and scoring at the rim are where Houston Rockets big man Christian Wood is often at his best. In fact, you could make an argument that he’s one of the most underrated players in the league in terms of big men.

However, Wood is not a facilitator at a high level by any stretch of the imagination and, in fact, the team might all but ban him from even trying to make outlet passes after Monday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

At least one fan at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte would hope that will be the case moving forward.

Rockets’ Christian Wood hits fan with bad pass against Hornets

Late in the first half against the Hornets looking to push the pace, Wood’s outlet pass went a bit wild, namely flying into the second row of the stands where it directly connected with a fan walking through the row and taking her out.

Thankfully, the fan got up and, though she was talking to arena employees, she seemed to be okay after taking the pass right to the chin, so to speak.

Ironically, this isn’t the first time a fan has been on the wrong end of an errant pass in Charlotte. Back when the franchise was named the Bobcats, Gerald Henderson threw an equally awful pass that also took out a fan walking in a row.

Let that be a lesson: If you’re watching a game in Charlotte, you’ve got to keep your head on a swivel.
