Nikola Jokic leaves Nuggets game after knee-to-knee blow, injury

Nuggets star Nikola Jokic took a knee-to-knee blow against the Jazz and left the game with an injury that caused him to limp heavily off the court.

Nikola Jokic is an absolute superstar and the last thing anyone wants to see is a player of his caliber go down with an injury. So it was a scary sight for NBA and Nuggets fans on Tuesday.

Playing on the road against the Jazz, Jokic was forced out of the game due to a knee injury after a scary looking play and scene on the floor in Utah.

Jokic knocked knees with Rudy Gobert, causing him to go to the ground in serious pain before getting up and limping heavily off the court and back to the locker room.

Nikola Jokic injury: How long will Nuggets star be out?

Thankfully, the Nikola Jokic injury doesn’t appear to be all that serious. According to the Nuggets, he has a right knee contusion and is questionable to return against the Jazz.

Given that it’s the fourth game of the season, it wouldn’t be shocking if Jokic remained out for the remainder of Tuesday night’s game.

Having said that, the fact that they are merely calling it a right knee contusion and not looking at anything more serious is certainly a positive sign for the Nuggets. It remains to be seen if they’ll approach the injury with caution or if Jokic will miss time but the long-term outlook appears favorable.
