Chicago Bulls home opener schedule leaks

The Chicago Bulls may have had their home opener for the 2021-22 NBA season leaked.

This is a season of great promise for the Chicago Bulls, and their home opener for the 2021-22 NBA season may have been leaked on Thursday.

Chicago is expected to begin the season on the road vs. the Central Division rival Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, Oct. 20. Two days later, the Bulls are reportedly welcoming the New Orleans Pelicans to the United Center on Friday, Oct. 22 for their home opener. Of course, this will be new Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball’s first game against the team he used to play for the last few years.

The Bulls are expected to be one of the eight best teams in the Eastern Conference in 2021-22.

Chicago Bulls 2021-22 NBA season home opener leaked

While the last several seasons have been a struggle for the Bulls, Chicago is certainly trending up under head coach Billy Donovan. It is no coincidence that the changes in the front office have a direct correlation to the Bull’s on-the-rise projection. By adding Ball in free agency, as well as DeMar DeRozan over from the San Antonio Bulls, how is this not a top-eight team in the East?

Chicago may lack the necessary postseason experience to hang with the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference. However, what is stopping them from finishing second in their own division and maybe pushing for a top-six seed in the East this season? While Chicago is expected to be better, that only means somebody else has to be worse.

Here is to the Bulls looking to be the real deal when the Pelicans arrive in Chicago in late October.
