John Collins throws down alley-oop right on Joel Embiid’s head (Video)

In a tight Game 6 contest, Atlanta Hawks big man John Collins III threw down a monster alley-oop right on Joel Embiid’s head.

With the Atlanta Hawks looking to close out at home on Friday night, John Collins used an emphatic alley-oop to get himself, his teammates and the crowd going in the third quarter. Outscored by the Philadelphia 76ers 33-25 in the frame, Collins’ dunk served as a momentum-builder heading into the fourth.

If nothing else, he put Joel Embiid on a poster, even if he probably fouled him by putting him in a headlock for good measure.

In a series full of theatrics, Trae Young always seems to know how to steal the show. Lobbing up the perfect pass for Collins to slam home was the ultimate power move, and it might just provide the injection of confidence Collins needed. The power forward had just 5 points and 5 boards on 2-of-8 shooting through three quarters, far below his typical output. Thankfully he wasn’t whistled for the offensive foul, allowing him to complete one of the most disrespectful dunks we’ve seen in a while.

With a big night from Seth Curry, the Sixers began the fourth quarter with a 80-76 lead in a win-or-go-home contest. Buckle up, NBA fans!
