Kevin Durant compared Jayson Tatum to a few NBA all-time greats

Kevin Durant had nothing but amazing things to say about Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum with his most recent comments.

Despite the Boston Celtics getting dominated by the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, there’s no denying Jayson Tatum continued to prove he’s one of the best players in the game today. Just ask Kevin Durant about that.

Durant saw up close and personal what Tatum is able to get done on the hardwood. The Boston scorer was so impressive, Durant is already putting him in some elite company. You know Tatum had to be fired up about it once he saw the quote.

Kevin Durant had some sensational praise for Jayson Tatum

Durant comparing Tatum to Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Tim Duncan and others is incredible. Durant goes on to say that with Tatum only being 23 years old too, it adds to just how impressive of a player he is.

With the two battling it out in their Eastern Conference series, both players really did put on a show. In the end, though, Brooklyn won the series 4-1. Now, the Nets are taking on the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Celtics will be watching the rest of the postseason from home.

Tatum indeed was terrific this year, as he averaged 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest. Come next season, he’ll look to lead Boston to a deeper postseason run, which of course will be easier said than done.

Once the new campaign does arrive, he’ll have the confidence knowing that Durant looks at him as one of the top players out there. Meanwhile for Durant, he’s hoping to win the NBA Finals this summer with the Nets.
